There was great hesitation and anxiety when I was faced with having to wear bathing suits or revealing tops.

As a young teenager, I disliked the small size of my breasts. As I grew older, the dislike turned to discomfort, low self esteem, and I was quite envious of others who had a larger chest. There was great hesitation and anxiety when I was faced with having to wear bathing suits or revealing tops. The size of my chest made me very self conscious when trying to be intimate with my partner. Several times I found myself searching the internet for solutions to help with my small chest. I spent several hundreds of dollars on “all natural pills and vitamins” that said were “guaranteed” to increase my breast size. Sadly, I saw absolutely no progress with this method. I had done research on breast implants in the past but was quite frightened by all the television shows, horror stories and the cost of the procedure. I was certain that I had no choice but to deal with my very unwanted small breasts…

But there was hope!! I had heard about a woman that had her breasts augmented a few months prior by Dr. Dembny. Hearing about another woman and how pleased she was, made me grow eager about learning more. That same day, I called to schedule my first consultation.

My mother joined me at my consultation with Dr. Dembny. She had never seen how small my breasts really were, as I ALWAYS wore a bar with the most padding in order to appear larger. Needless to say, my mother was quite surprised to see the real size of my breasts. Dr. Dembny was very helpful with answering all of our questions and concerns. After leaving his office, I was certain that I was going to move forward with the procedure. I was looking to do this for ME but the approval from my mother was all that I was really looking for and she gave me her approval immediately following the consultation and after seeing how very unhappy I was. I had done my research and read all of the material Dr. Dembny had given to me. Just a few days after the consultation, I called and scheduled the surgery. I decided to choose the saline implants, and chose a size that looked very natural and proportional for my petite body. Personally, I felt the saline implants were a bit safer. I was able to finance part of my surgery through CareCredit, making monthly payments on my surgery. Without CareCredit, I would have not been able to afford the upfront costs of the surgery… so thank you CareCredit!

Each day I counted down to the day of the surgery. Not once was I all that nervous about the procedure. Dr. Dembny made me feel very comfortable and I couldn’t wait to finally be confident in a bathing suit.

My mother and stepfather accompanied me the day of my surgery. I went into surgery at bra size 34A and came out at bra size 36B. A little more than one cup size is all it took for me to feel like a woman! The first few days following the surgery were a bit painful as any major surgery would be, but it wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be. It was necessary for me to have assistance getting in and out of bed, bathing and clothing myself for the first week. I took one week off of work, but wished I had given myself a full two weeks before returning. After about 1-1 1/2 months I was pretty much back to my normal routine.

After about 2 months, and at my second follow-up appointment with Dr. Dembny, he showed me the pictures he took of my breasts on the day of my first consultation several months prior. I couldn’t believe the outcome! Actually being able to see the before pictures of my breasts made me feel that much more confident with my choice to undergo breast augmentation and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.

I had not told too many people about my decision to have surgery, as I mentioned before… I was doing this for ME and I didn’t want others opinions to affect my ultimate decision. I was happy to find out that the ones I was bit reluctant to tell about my surgery were actually fine with my choice and were happy that I was doing something to help myself feel more confident.

I am happy to share my story and I hope that it will help those that are debating on breast augmentation. I thank Dr. Dembny and all of his staff for helping me through the process and making me feel like a REAL WOMAN!
